ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(WOODBOTTOM ROAD, NETHERTON, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodbottom Road, Netherton from a point outside property nos. 24/23 Woodbottom Road to its junction with Lea Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Woodbottom Road, Lea Lane, Netherton Fold, Moor Lane, Meltham Road, Huddersfield Road, Crosland Factory Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 and remain in force until 14 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ST ANDREW’S ROAD, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of St Andrew’s Road, Huddersfield from its junction with Turnbridge Road to its junction with Croset Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Diversion 1 - via Wakefield Road, Firth Street, Kings Bridge Road, Colne Road, Queen Street South, back onto Firth Street, Wakefield Road, Southgate, Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Gasworks Street, St Andrew’s Road;

Diversion 2 - via St Andrew’s road, Gasworks Street, Leeds Road, Southgate, Wakefield Road, St Andrew’s Road

The closure will commence on Tuesday, 22 September 2026 to follow on from the Emergency Notice dated 1 September 2026 and will remain in force until 3 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
