COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND AND NEW RIGHTS NEAR SPALDING, SOUTH HOLLAND, LINCOLNSHIRE

Notice is hereby given that National Grid Electricity Transmission Plc has made The National Grid Electricity Transmission plc (Weston Marsh Substation A) Compulsory Purchase Order 2026 under Section 10 and Schedule 3 of the Electricity Act 1989 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.

It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise National Grid Electricity Transmission Plc to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights described below for the purpose of delivering a new 400kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS) and the removal of existing overhead lines and towers and creation of new and modifications and reconductoring to the existing 400kV overhead lines in the vicinity of the Spalding Tee-Point, Surfleet Seas End and Moulton Seas End.

A copy of the order, the Lands Plans and the Statement of Reasons have been deposited at the following locations and available for inspection at all reasonable hours:

• Long Sutton Library, Trafalgar Square, Long Sutton, Spalding PE12 9HB

Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Energy Infrastructure Planning Delivery Team, 3-8 Whitehall Place, London, SW1A 2AW 2EG and/or to compulsorypurchaseorders@energysecurity.gov.uk before 23 October 2026 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector’s address and interests in the land.
