What is happening?
THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
BEACH AVENUE LANE, WHITLEY BAY (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on Beach Avenue Lane from the side of number 3 to rear of number 4 Beach Avenue.
An alternate route is available via Beach Avenue, Park Road, Holly Avenue, Park View Lane. Access to be maintained for residents/refuge.
The proposed temporary Order is required for new service connections.
The Order will come into force on 28th September 2026 for a period not exceeding 12 days.
