Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

LONDON ROAD AND TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD
CLOSURE ORDER ON SHARDLOW ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 12 October 2026 to 14 October 2026 (20:00 to 05:00) Phase 1 15 October 2026 to 17 October 2026 (20:00 to 05:00) Phase 2 WHERE: Phase 1: London Road, from its junction with Brighton Road to its junction with Raynesway and Shardlow Road roundabout Shardlow Road, one way closure in a northerly direction from its junction with Harvey Road/Blue Peter Stonehouse to its junction with London Road and Raynesway roundabout. Phase 2: Shardlow Road, one way closure in a southerly direction from its junction Raynesway roundabout to its junction with Beech Avenue REASON: Resurfacing and associated works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: London Road – Bradshaw Way – Osmaston Road – Harvey Road (and the same in the opposite direction).

WHEN: 02 October 2026 to 02 October 2026 (09.30 to 15.30) WHERE: Maple Drive, from its junction with Newbold Close to No 74. REASON: Repair frame and cover ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Maple Drive – Derby Road A514 – Sutton Avenue (and the same in the opposite direction).
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON GOODSMOOR ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 29 October 2026 to 30 October 2026 (20:00 - 06.00) Daily WHERE: Goodsmoor Road, from its junction with East Croft Avenue to a distance of approximately 100 metres from the junction of Bramblehedge Drive. REASON: Railway bridge inspection works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Goodsmoor Road – Stenson Road – Grampian Way – Sinfin Lane – Wordsworth Avenue – Goodsmoor Road (and the same in the opposite direction).
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
BROMLEY STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 18 October 2026 to 18 October 2026 WHERE: Bromley Street, 5 metres either side of No 4. REASON: Replace Telecom pole ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bromley Street – Park Grove – Wheeldon Avenue – Kedleston Road – Bromley Street (and the same in the opposite direction).
