THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(UPPER BROUGHTON FOOTPATH NO.7)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION NO.2 ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Upper Broughton Footpath No.7) (Temporary Prohibition) Notice 2026 (which came into force on 20th March 2026 and was continued in force by a Continuation Order until 19th September 2026 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 19th September 2027 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order has the following effect:-
No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot,
in the following length of Footpath at Upper Broughton in the Borough of Rushcliffe:-
Upper Broughton Footpath No.7, from the footbridge crossing Dalby Brook to the footbridge on the
Leicestershire County boundary.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route available for pedestrians.
If the works are not completed within the above period the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety due to dangerous/damaged footbridge and to enable its repair or replacement.
