Ar 16 Medi 2026, gwnaeth Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, Orchymyn a fydd yn atal unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio neu yrru ar hyd Arglawdd Dôl Afon Taf o’r gyffordd â Heol Penarth i’r gyffordd â Gerddi Pentre.
Mae’r Gorchymyn hwn yn angenrheidiol i hwyluso gwaith ar neu ger y briffordd a disgwylir iddo fod ar waith o ddydd Sadwrn 19 Medi 2026 tan ddydd Llun 21 Medi 2026 neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau.
Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau sy’n cael eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith.
Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis.
Bydd y llwybr amgen i gerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan hyn trwy Gerddi Pentre, Universal Street, Mardy Street, Pentre Street, Heol Clare a Heol Penarth.
Enw’r Gorchymyn yw “Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd (Arglawdd Dôl Afon Taf, Caerdydd) (Cau Ffordd Dros Dro) 2026”.

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF
(TAFFS MEAD EMBANKMENT, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
On the 16th September 2026, The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers, made an Order the general effect of which is to prevent any vehicle from using or proceeding along Taffs Mead Embankment from its junction with Penarth Road to its junction with Pentre Gardens.
This Order is required to facilitate works on or near the highway and is expected to be in operation from Saturday 19th September 2026 until Monday 21st September 2026 or until works are complete.
The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the above closure will be via Pentre Gardens, Universal Street, Mardy Street, Pentre Street, Clare Road and Penarth Road.
This Order is known as “The County Council of The City and County of Cardiff (Taffs Mead Embankment, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026”.
