(VARIOUS ROADS, WALSALL) ORDER NO. 1 SEPTEMBER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of:
UNION STREET, WILLENHALL in its entirety. (Sunday 27 September 2026, 08:00 -17:00)
Reason for Order: New service connections.
Works on behalf of: Cadent.
BROCKHURST CRESCENT, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with A4031 West Bromwich Road to its junction with Deighton Court. (09:30 on Wednesday 30 September to 15:00 on Friday 2 October 2026).
Reason for Order: Defect works.
Works on behalf of: National Grid.
And prevent any vehicle from proceeding or stopping in the lengths of:
ALBION ROAD, WILLENHALL that is situated from its junction with Charles Holland Street to its junction with Frederick William Street (Monday 28 September 2026, 09:00 – 15:30).
ELM STREET, WILLENHALL that is situated from its junction with Albion Road to its junction with Barcroft (Tuesday 29 September 2026, 09:00 – 15:30).
FREDERICK WILLIAM STREET, WILLENHALL that is situated from its junction with Albion Road to its junction with John Harper Street (Tuesday 29 September 2026, 09:00 – 15:30).
BROWNHILLS ROAD, WALSALL WOOD that is situated from its junction with A461 Lichfield Road to its junction with Coppice Road. (Wednesday 30 September 2026 to Friday 2 October 2026) (19:00 – 06:00).
Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing.
Works on behalf of: Walsall Council.
This ORDER will come into operation on Sunday 27 September 2026. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signs will be erected on site indicating when the no stopping restriction will be in force and signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
