THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(LYNTON AVENUE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on Lynton Avenue closed in both
directions, between its junctions with Aldersley Road and
Kendall Rise.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the closure will be in place
from 23 September 2026 until 25 September 2026.
The diversion route is: Blackburn Avenue, Aldersley Road
and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate works for a hydrant renew
by Severn Trent Water.
