Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C8010 Slip Road from Tuffley Lane Roundabout to Southern Connector from its junction with Tuffley Lane Roundabout to its junction with Southern Connector for a distance of approximately 400 metres. The reason for the closure is to carry out vegetation clearance works.

The road is expected to be closed from 9th September 2026 until 10th September 2026.

However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS EBW69 AND EBW70 (BROCKWORTH PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpaths as described in the schedule below;

Schedule
Part of Public Footpath EBW 70 from its junction with Valliant Way extending in a generally North Westerly direction for approximately 370 metres to its junction with Public Footpath EBW 69. Public Footpath EBW 69 from its junction with Public Footpath EBW 70 extending in a generally South Westerly direction for approximately 240 metres to its junction with the Brockworth Bypass Westbound.

The closures are necessary for public safety due to construction works being carried out.

The Order will come into force on the 21st September 2026 and it is anticipated that the Public Footpaths will close on that day until 21st October 2026. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the closures is for the removal of sign lanterns and brackets from rail bridges.

The said roads are expected to be closed, between the hours of 19:30 and 23:59 each night commencing 5th October 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This Order can permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 7th December 2026.

However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
