What is happening?
(STAKE LANE, JADE HILL AND ESSEX ROAD, HALLING) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable raised-table construction and junction improvement works to be carried out
Stake Lane, Jade Hill and Essex Road, Halling - Stake Lane will be closed between Kent Road and Essex Road; Jade Hill between Kent Road and Essex Road; and Essex Road between Kent Road and Stake Lane. The closures will operate in turn, with only one road closed at any time. The oneway restriction in Essex Road will be suspended while its closure is in operation. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Traffic will be diverted via Kent Road and adjoining local roads as indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into force on Friday, 16 October 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 16 October 2026 and are planned for completion by Monday, 30 November 2026. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(HAROLD ROAD, CUXTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable telecommunications works to be carried out
Harold Road, Cuxton - to be closed to all vehicular traffic in Harold Road from the junction with Reginald Avenue for a distance of 30 metres. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route is available. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

(REED STREET, CLIFFE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

(GRANGE WAY, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable stop tap replacement works to be carried out -

(YOKOSUKA WAY, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway retexturing for safety and associated works to be carried out -
Yokosuka Way, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic on its southbound carriageway from Grange Road Roundabout to the Featherby Road exit, towards Cornwallis Roundabout. Parking will be prohibited in the affected length for the duration of the works. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed via Canterbury Street and Gillingham Road.
This Order will come into force on Thursday, 15 October 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 15 October 2026 and are programmed for completion within 1 night, between 8pm and 6am the following morning. (VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY) (COMMUNITY EVENTS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of public community events, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst an event is taking place
Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the events mentioned in column (1) of the Table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply. These provisions will be in force as indicated in the Schedule below.
Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes for through traffic will be signed locally. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.
This Order will come into force on Sunday, 20 September 2026 and will cease to have effect on Sunday, 29 November 2026. The Order will only be effective when the appropriate signs are displayed.
