NOTICE OF MAKING OF MODIFICATION ORDERS

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY FOR OXFORDSHIRE

Chesterton Footpath No. 11 (part) Modification Order 2026

The above Order made on 7 September 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-

Deleting from them the footpath from Kirtlington Road (A4095) at Greenacres at grid reference SP 5453 2207 running north-north-eastwards to the east of the field boundary for 133m to SP 5458 2219 and north-westwards for 9m to SP 5458 2220.

Adding to them the footpath from Kirtlington Road (A4095) at SP 5452 2207 running north-north-eastwards to the west of the field boundary for 140m to SP 5458 2220.

Little Tew Footpath No. 3 (part) Modification Order 2026

The above Order made on 3 August 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them the footpath:-

From the road at Little Tew as shown on the List of Streets at grid reference SP 3836 2862, running generally north for approximately 85 metres to join the existing line of Little Tew FP 3 at grid reference SP 3836 2870.

Any representation or objection relating to the above orders must be sent in writing to Rights of Way Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or rightsofwaylegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk not later than 30 October 2026 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to an order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.

NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

Little Tew Footpath No. 1 (part), Public Path Extinguishment and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2026

The above order, made on 1 September 2026, under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by extinguishing, as shown on the order:-

The entire width of part of Footpath No. 1 in the parish of Little Tew running from OS Grid Ref SP 38619 28477 generally north-eastwards for approximately 16m to SP 38630 28489.

Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representation or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
