Brent - Temporary Traffic Prohibitions Due To Telecom Installation Works

What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (As Amended) - Preston Road - (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) - Order 202*

THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT hereby give notice that, to facilitate Installation of telecom ducts and chambers and associated works in Preston Road, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to:-
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting, loading or unloading in that length of Preston Road, the eastern lane proceeding in a south-eastern direction, which lies between the south-eastern kerb line of Woodcock Hill and the north-western kerb line of Toley Avenue;

(b) prohibit vehicles proceeding in a general south-westerly direction on Woodcock Hill upon reaching its junction with Preston Road from turning left into Preston Road;

(c) prohibit vehicles proceeding in a general north-easterly direction on Woodcock Hill upon reaching its junction with Preston Road from turning right into Preston Road,

When and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.

The prohibitions and suspension referred to in (a) to (c) inclusive above would apply between 24th September 2026 and 28th May 2027 inclusive, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier. Works are expected to take place between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.

Access to premises in or adjacent to Preston Road would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

Vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions referred to in (a) to (c) inclusive above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.
