Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025
– King Street, Lolham, Maxey, Peterborough Ref: 25-307B
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as King Street, Lolham, Maxey, as lies between High Street and B1443 King Street, Helpston. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: B1443 King Street, Helpston, West Street, Glinton Road, Helpston Road, A15, Maxey Road, High Street and vice versa. This order has been further extended by the DfT, reference NATTRAN/E/TTRO/E/14451 and will remain in force until 31/10/2026 or the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026
– King Street, Lolham, Maxey Ref: 27-201
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as King Street, Lolham, Maxey as lies between points 20 metres either side of Lolham Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 King St, West St, Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd and High St. The proposed Order will come into force on the 27/09/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 26/09/2027, whichever is the earlier. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Barnack Road, Helpston Road, King Street, West Street, Glinton Road, Helpston Road, A15, A1175 and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 28/09/2026 and will continue until the cut and patch works have been completed or until the 27/09/2027, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Etton 3 Section 1 Footpath, for its entire length. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: Main Road, Helpston Road, Lincoln Road, Glinton 1 Section 2 Footpath, Glinton 1 Section 1 Footpath, Etton 3 Section 2 Footpath and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28/09/2026 and will continue until the pipeline installation works have been completed or until the 27/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28/09/2026 and will continue until the pipeline installation works have been completed or until the 27/03/2027, whichever is the earlier. The proposed Order will come into force on the 30/09/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 29/09/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight only, 19:00 to 06:00, between 30/09/2026 and 02/10/2026. The Council of the City of Peterborough gives notice pursuant to section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the footpath/cyclepath known as Peterborough 37 Section 1 footpath, as lies between 87 Bluebell Avenue to the side of 7 and 9 Crocus Grove. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for pedestrians/ cyclists affected by this order is signed locally on site. This notice is made in the interest of safety improvement works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 21/09/2026. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
