Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th September 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Bridleway 66 in the Parish of Crowan between grid references SW6408237635 and SW6502536984. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to recent flooding which has washed away the bridleway surface.
The Order will come into operation on 8th September 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 17th February 2027. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.
The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 18th August 2026 for a period of up to 21 days.
Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Temporary Traffic Restriction Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 14th September 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Market Street Falmouth for its entire length.
Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing one-way order The County of Cornwall (Falmouth) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1991 Market Street/Church Street/Arwenack Street (Class 111) between its junctions with Killigrew Street and Swan pool Street for their entire lengths.
The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out works to remove a tower crane.
The Order will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 3rd October 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0700 on a daily basis, weekdays only.
Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to emergency services, cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
