ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

B6309 STOCKSFIELD TO MOWDEN HALL CROSSROADS STOCKSFIELD C253 BYWELL TO OVINGTON JUNCTION OVINGTON (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use of vehicular traffic on the following section of roads and to hereby bring into force a speed restriction on the following section of roads in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th October 2026 until the 21st January 2027.

Road Closure:

B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Crossroads

B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Cross Roads from its junction with C253 Bywell to Ovington Junction heading in a southerly direction for a distance of 680 metres.

It is expected that the road will be closed from the 5th October 2026 until the 11th December 2026, and that the road will be closed at all times.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6309, A69, A68, A695 and vice-versa.

Speed Restriction:- (60mph down to 40mph)

C253 Bywell to Ovington Junction Ovington

A speed restriction will hereby further be in force which will restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic from 60mph down to 40mph and no person shall drive their vehicle in excess of 40mph on the C253 Bywell to Ovington Junction from its junction with B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Crossroads heading in an easterly direction for a distance of 60 metres and B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Crossroads from its junction with C252 Bywell to High Barns Junction heading in an easterly direction then a southerly direction for a distance of 600 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The speed restriction will be in force at all times in order to maintain public and workers safety. The speed restriction is to warn motorists that there are workforce on the road and blind spots on the road.

The road closure and speed restriction have been requested by Northern Gas Networks in order to replace an existing steel gas pipe with modern polyethylene piping. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8286 LEAZES LANE HEXHAM

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8286 Leazes Lane from its junction with U8286 Queensway heading in a eastwards direction for a distance of 75 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 30th September 2026 until the 1st October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 30th September 2026 between the hours of 09:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 1st October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8286, B6531 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U7018 SLAGGYFORD JUNCTION

TO THE KNAR SLAGGYFORD

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U7018 Slaggyford Junction to The Knar from its junction with U7076 Slaggyford Main Road to Greenhead Road heading in a southwards direction for a distance of 225 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 29th September 2026 until the 16th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 29th September 2026 until the 2nd October 2026 between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th October 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Viberoptix in order to excavate to install duct, chamber and Toby in the carriageway, footway and grass verge. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C252 BYWELL TO HIGH BARNS

JUNCTION STOCKSFIELD

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C252 Bywell to High Barns Junction from its junction with B6530 Newcastle Road heading in a south eastwards direction for a distance of 4010 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 30th September 2026 until the 5th March 2027.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 30th September 2026 until the 2nd October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 5th March 2027.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6530, A69, C251 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C236 WALL TO BRUNTON BANK WALL

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C236 Wall to Brunton Bank from its junction with B6318 Brunton Bank heading in a south westwards direction for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 28th September 2026 until the 25th December 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 28th September 2026 until the 9th October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 25th December 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6318, A6079 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
