Sun Street - Temporary Road Closure due to Northern Powergrid Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL SUN STREET, HAWORTH TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of Northern Powergrid works to be executed on or near Sun Street, Haworth has made the above-named Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Sun Street from its junction with Woodlands Rise to its junction with Bridgehouse Lane. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via Sun Street (unaffected section), Marsh Lane, Moorside Lane, Reservoir Road, Sun Lane, West Lane, North Street, Rawdon Road and vice versa.

The Order comes into operation at 08:00 hours on the 18th of September 2026 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 22nd of October 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
