Notice is hereby given that the Council intends to make the above-mentioned Order under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984: -
1. To prohibit any vehicle, other than an emergency services vehicle or a hackney carriage vehicle, from proceeding along Venmore Street, L5, from its junction with Oswestry Street to its junction with Walton Breck Road.
2. The City Council of Liverpool (Football Match Parking Places & Controlled Parking Zone) Order, 2009, is hereby varied so as to introduce a temporary Hackney Carriage Stand, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit the stopping of any vehicle, other than a hackney carriage vehicle, at any time, on the northwesterly side of Venmore Street, L5, from a point 7m southwest of its junction with Walton Breck Road for a distance of 25m in a southwesterly direction. The manner of standing for hackney carriage vehicles is parallel to the kerb, and the maximum number of parking places is 4 hackney carriage vehicles.
3. A signed diversion route and associated Hackney Carriage Stand signage will be erected for the duration of the works.
4. This Order shall become operative from the 5 October 2026 to 31 March 2027, or for such a lesser period of time as dictated by the early completion of the works which are to continue to safely enable Liverpool City Council contractors to undertake essential highway improvements.
