CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

CARTERS LANE & CURLY HILL, ILKLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Carters Lane & Curly Hill, Ilkley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of: Carters Lane from its junction with Curly Hill to a point outside the electricity sub station; and Curly Hill from its junction with Carters Lane to a point outside No.148 Curly Hill.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Carters Lane (unaffected section), Denton Road, Middleton Avenue, Curly Hill and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 29th September 2026 and remain in force until 17:00 hours on the 9th October 2026 although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
