Caroline Street - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL CAROLINE STREET, SALTAIRE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of gas works proposed to be executed on or near Caroline Street, Saltaire intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Caroline Street from its junction with Albert Road to its junction with Victoria Road. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Caroline Street (unaffected section), Victoria Road, Saltaire Road, Bingley Road, Hirst Lane, Dallam Avenue and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 28th of September 2026 and remain in force until 17:00 hours on the 13th of November 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
