VARIOUS ROADS IN POTTEN END) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Roman Road, Potten End from its southernmost junction with Frithsden Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 420m. An alternative route will be via Frithsden Lane, Nettleden Road and Roman Road.
2. that length of Frithsden Lane, Potten End from its junction with Ashridge Road north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Nettleden Road, a distance of approximately 1759m.
An alternative route will be via Ashridge Road, The Common and Nettleden Road.
3. that length of Frithsden Lane, Potten End from its northernmost junction with Roman Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 101m. An alternative route will be via Roman Road and Frithsden Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 7 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 20 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTWAY SITUATED
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CRAWLEY DRIVE,
HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the north side of Crawley Drive, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.6A Crawley Drive south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Footway”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north west side of Crawley Drive, the footpath situated on the west side of Nos.12a-22 Crawley Drive, the footpath situated on the north side of No.22 Crawley Drive and the footway situated on the north side of Crawley Drive.
The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway.
The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.
The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footway.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RECTORY LANE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rectory Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with A4251 High Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 28m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.401-411 Warners End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Gravel Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north and east sides of Gravel Lane, the footway situated on the south side of Warners End Road and the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.401-411 Warners End Road. The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months.
The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

An alternative route will be via B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Nettleden Road and Pipers Hill.
The Order is needed because utility service works proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Tringford Road, Tring from its junction with the B489 Lower Icknield Way/Wingrave Road roundabout south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 800m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B489 (Lower Icknield Way/ Marsworth Road/High Street), B488 (Church Road/unnamed road/Upper Icknield Way/Bulbourne Road) and Tringford Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Long Chaulden, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northridge Way north westwards to its junction with Chaulden Terrace, a distance of approximately 76m.
An alternative route will be via Northridge Way, St Johns
Road, Anchor Lane, Beechfield Road, Anchor Lane, Heath Lane, Lockers Park Lane, Bury Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Warners End Road and Long Chaulden.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Trowley Hill Road, Flamstead from its junction with White Hill north eastwards to its junction with Linnins Pond, a distance of approximately 106m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via White Hill, Trowley Bottom, Pietley Hill, Valley Lane, Friendless Lane, Chapel Road and Trowley Hill Road.
The Order is needed because utility and tree cutting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 1 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Felden Lane north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A4146 Station Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 840m.
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road,
A41 (unnamed road), A414 Two Waters Way and A4251 London Road or via A4251 London Road, A414 Two Waters Way, A41 (Interchange/unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.
2. that length of Fishery Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A4251 London Road roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 170m.
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, A4146 Station Road, St Johns Road and Fishery Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Aldwyck Court south eastwards to its junction with Bury Road, a distance of approximately 330m.
An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4147 (Link Road/Redbourn Road/Swallowdale Lane/ Maylands Road), A414 St Albans Road and Warners End Road.
2. that length of Warners End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bury Hill south eastwards to its junction with the A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 61m.
An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Galley Hill, Gadebridge Road and Warners End Road.
3. that length of B487 Queensway, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the Marlowes roundabout, a distance of approximately 166m. An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road roundabout, A4147 (Link Road/Redbourn Road) and B487 Queensway.
4. the A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road roundabout, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with B487 Queensway clockwise for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4147 (Link Road/Redbourn Road/Swallowdale Lane/Maylands Road), A414 St Albans Road and Warners End Road or via the A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road roundabout, A4147 (Link Road/Redbourn Road) and B487 Queensway or via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Galley Hill, Gadebridge Road and Warners End Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicular traffic is prohibited from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Aldwyck Court south eastwards to its junction with Bury Road, a distance of approximately 330m, when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 1 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

1. that length of A41 Interchange Tring, Wigginton from its junction with B4635 London Road clockwise for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via B4635 (London Road/High Street/Western Road/Aylesbury Road/Icknield Way) A41 (Tring Bypass/unnamed road) and A4251 (London Road/ High Street/Gossoms End/High Street/Tring Road).
2. that length of A41 Interchange Tring, Wigginton from its junction with Fox Road north westwards and clockwise for a distance of approximately 319m.
An alternative route will be via Fox Road, Vicarage Road, Hemp Lane, A4251 Tring Road and A41 Interchange Tring.
3. the A41 eastbound slip road leading onto A41 Interchange Tring, Wigginton from its junction with A41 Tring Bypass north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A41 Interchange Tring, a distance of approximately 447m.
An alternative route will be via A41 (Tring Bypass/unnamed road), A4251 (London Road/ High Street/Gossoms End/High Street/Tring Road) and A41 Interchange Tring.

An alternative route will be via A41 Interchange Tring, A4251 (Tring Road/High Street/ Gossoms End/High Street/London Road) and A41 (unnamed road).
6. the A41 westbound slip road leading onto A41 Interchange Tring, Wigginton from its junction with A41 (unnamed road) south westwards to its junction with A41 Tring Bypass, a distance of approximately 347m. 7. that length of Fox Road, Wigginton from its junction with A41 Interchange Tring south westwards to its junction with The Twist, a distance of approximately 73m.
