THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VICARAGE LANE, DUFFIELD) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that, on the 10th of September 2026 Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 21st of September 2026 and its effect is:
TO PROHIBIT MOTOR VEHICLES (EXCEPT PERMIT HOLDERS SSA) - MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 8:20AM TO 9:05AM AND 3:00PM TO 3:45PM
Vicarage Lane, Duffield Both sides
From its junction with Castle Hill in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres (as measured along the centreline of the road).
From its junction with King Street in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres (as measured along the centreline of the road).
TO REVOKE THE FOLLOWING ORDER
The Derbyshire County Council (Vicarage Lane, Duffield) (Prohibition of Driving) Experimental Traffic Order 2025.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council's principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, Duffield Library, Wirksworth Road, Duffield, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 4GH during opening hours and on request by emailing Place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk quoting reference Z3439P, until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 22nd of October 2026. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 10th of September 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
