What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2054) LILLYHALL AND B5301 OUTGANG ROAD, ASPATRIA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. C2054 Lillyhall, from its junction with the A595 Lillyhall Roundabout, extending in an overall south easterly direction for approx. 2.1 km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2054, C4066, U4004, Common Side B5306, Distington and the A595.
Duration: From 5 October 2026 for approx. 10 weeks (Ref: TTROC/20051)
2. B5301 Outgang Road, Aspatria, from its junction with the A596, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 620m, to its junction with North Road.
Alternative Route: via North Road and the A596.
Duration: From 26 October 2026 for approx. 12 days (Ref: TTROC/19970)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
