What is happening?

REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
GUISBOROUGH (WAITING AND LOADING AND PARKING PLACES)
CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT)ORDER NO 1 2026

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to amend the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council (Guisborough) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2003 as follows:-

1. By changing the definition of Market Days from Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday to Thursday and Saturday.

2. By suspending Disc Parking on the length of Westgate Guisborough comprising the south side from its junction with New Road to its junction with Chaloner Street on Market Days.

3. By prohibiting waiting, loading and unloading on the south side of Westgate Guisborough from its junction with New Road to its junction with Chaloner Street on Market Days between the hours of 5am and 9am except for vehicles involved in the setting up and holding of the market.

4. By adding no waiting at any time restrictions on Chaloner Mews, Guisborough the south side from its junction with Chaloner Street to its eastern extent

5. By adding no waiting at any time restriction on Chaloner Street Guisborough; the east side from its junction with Westgate, to its junction with Chaloner Mews; the east side from its junction with Chaloner Mews, in a southerly direction for 25.8 metres; the east side from its junction with Fountain Street, to a point 12 metres north of its junction with Fountain Street back street.

The Order will come into operation on 30.9.26. A copy of it may be examined at the address below between the hours of 11am and 2.00pm Monday to Friday or at Permanent highway notices – Redcar and Cleveland (redcar-cleveland.gov.uk)

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to it, you may, within 6 weeks from 17.9.26 apply to the High Court for that purpose.
