What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(ABBEY ROAD, MIDDLETON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Abbey Road from a point 32 metres west of its junction with Buckfast Road (the Southerly Junction) for a distance of 75 metres in a north westerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate water works within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours on 21st September 2026 until 18.00 hours on 23rd September 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Abbey Road, Buckfast Road and vice versa.

(BRANDLEHOW DRIVE, MIDDLETON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Brandlehow Drive from its junction with Latrigg Crescent to its junction with Lingholme Drive.

The Order is required to facilitate Substation maintenance works.

The Order will be operative from 08.30 hours until 16:00 hours on 12th October 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Latrigg Crescent, Windermere Road, Brandlehow Drive and vice versa.
