(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
WOLFRETON LANE, WILLERBY
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Wolfreton Lane, Willerby (junction with Carr Lane roundabout to junction with Kingston Road).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed carriageway reconstruction works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 30 November 2026.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Carr Lane Roundabout, The Parkway, Gorton Road Roundabout and Kingston Road, Willerby CP, Willerby and Kirk Ella Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence Monday 21 September 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
