North Kelsey - Chapel Street/High Street/West Street - Prohibition of Waiting

LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

HIGH STREET & WEST STREET)
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council propose to make an Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting as set out in the Schedule below:-

•  To introduce no waiting at any time restrictions fronting the school and at the junction of West Street and Chapel Street and along Chapel Street including junction with High Street.

•  To introduce no waiting Mon-Fri 8.30am-9am & 3pm-4pm restrictions on West Street opposite the junction of Chapel Street and adjacent to the school.

•  To introduce no stopping Mon-Fri 8.30am-9am & 3pm4pm except buses bay fronting the school.

Exemptions are included which will permit waiting for disabled persons’ vehicles and for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers, loading or unloading of goods, the maintenance of the roads, and works in connection with the supply of gas, electricity, water and telecommunications apparatus.

The Order will come into operation on 18th September 2026 and a copy of the Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned with a Statement of Reasons can be requested.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks after 14th September 2026 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
