(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 GIBSON LANE SOUTH, MELTON LEVEL CROSSING
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Gibson Lane South, Melton (20 metres either side of the crossing).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed lift and pack works through to the crossing, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given time. There is no alternative route for traffic affected by this closure.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open for emergency services only.
The Order will commence Tuesday 29 September 2026 between 00.30 hours and 05.00 hours and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
