THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (COLSTERWORTH, LINCOLNSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A1 Trunk Road, at Colsterworth, in the County of Lincolnshire, to enable utility works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the layby adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A1, approximately 425 metres south of the centrepoint of the A151 overbridge, at Colsterworth.
The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Tuesday 13 October 2026 and continue for one night.
The Order will come into force on 6 October 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
