(PUBLIC FOOTPATH BC43/22, FOX HILL, BATH)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026 
On 10 September 2026 the Bath and North East Somerset Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert that section of public footpath running from ST74956313 and proceeding in a generally ESE direction for approx 399m to ST75316297, to a line running from ST74956313 and proceeding a generally SSE direction for approx 14m to grid reference ST 7496 6312 and then in a generally E direction for approx 138m to ST75106311 and then in a generally SE direction for approx 76m to ST75146305 and then in a generally ESE direction for approx 188m to ST75316297, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen at https://www.bathnes.gov.uk/public-rights-way-applications-consultations-and- legal-notices or free of charge at Bath Housing, Welfare and Advice Services, 3 to 4 Manvers Street, Bath, BA1 1JQ during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought from the Council at the price of £5.00 – to purchase please telephone the Public Rights of Way Team on 01225 477649.
The order comes into force on 18 September 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.
