EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(U6, Priestland) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
On 15 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Bridge Parapet Repairs.
Temporary Road Closure – U6, Priestland
U6 - Mill Bridge for 20m each side of structure
The Order commences on 28 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 28 September 2026 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 09 October 2026 at 15:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for Emergency Services, residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
An alternative route will be signed via U6 > U5 > A71 and vice versa.

On 15 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power works.
Road Closure – Broom Crescent - From no.49 Broom Crescent to junction with Gallowlee Avenue (50m)
Stewart Avenue - From no.1 Stewart Avenue to junction with Broom Crescent (20m)

The Order commences on 25 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 25 September 2026 at 08:00 until 08 October 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will be affected and access will be maintained via diversion route only.
Access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route only.
Alternative routes will be signed via: Stewart Avenue - Broom Crescent and vice versa.
Broom Crescent - Main Street Broom Crescent and vice versa.

On 15 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow carriageway resurfacing works.
Road Closure – C137 - from it’s junction with B705 Catrine to U718 Crofthead Road.

The Order commences on 28 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 28 September 2026 at 08:00 until 09 October 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will be affected and access will be maintained via diverison route only. Access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained via the diversion route only.
An alternative route will be signed via C137 - B743 - B713 - B705 and vice versa.

(Loudoun Avenue , Priestland) (Temporary Banned Turns) Order 2026
On 15 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Puffin crossing installation works.
Temporary Banned Turns – Loudoun Avenue , Priestland, Banned Left Turn from A71 onto Loudoun Avenue Banned Right Turn from A71 onto Loudoun Avenue (East Junction)
The Order commences on 28 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 28 September 2026 at 08:00 until 09 October 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
