What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21216

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside as lies between Wells Bridge & Ramsey Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040; Stocking Fen Rd; Muchwood Ln; Bodsey Toll Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 26/10 & 27/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Parrens Road & Greenfields, Earith Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21439

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Parrens Road & Greenfields, Earith as lies between Cooks Drove & Meadow Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Meadow Ln; Cooks Drove & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate crack sealing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 26/10 & 30/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

High Street, Hail Weston Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21256

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Hail Weston as lies between Nos. 53 & 59. The alternative route for vehicles is via High St; B645 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate mains maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 13/10 & 15/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Main Road, Stonely Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21257

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Main Road, Stonely as lies between No. 51 & Easton Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via B645; B660; A14; A14 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 19/10 & 21/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Footpaths Miller Way, Brampton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2026-21312

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpaths Miller Way, Brampton as lies between Nos. 7 and 13. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stoptap replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 28/10 and 30/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works and any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Popes Lane, Warboys Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21386

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Popes Lane, Warboys as lies between Beech Close & Samuels Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Popes Ln; B1040; Church Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:00hrs & 17:00hrs 7/10 to 8/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Durham Close, Sawtry Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21272

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Durham Close, Sawtry as lies between No. 8 & Gloucester Road. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecoms maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30 & 15:30 on 1/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecoms maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs on 19/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Durham Close, Sawtry Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2026-21529

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Durham Close, Sawtry as lies between numbers 7 & 10. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecoms maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs on 1/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Godmanchester Footpath 14, Godmanchester Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2026-21284

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Godmanchester Footpath 14, Godmanchester as lies between Godmanchester Footpath 3 & The Causeway. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate bridge maintenance, repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 5/10 & 31/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Fen Lane & Fen Drove, Stilton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21300

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fen Lane & Fen Drove, Stilton as lies between B1043 & Caldecote Dyke Farm; Fen Lane & Bell Drove respectively. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water mains renewal & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 5/10 & 22/12/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Cockbrook Lane, Old Weston Temporary 40mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-21302

Is to impose a 40mph speed limit along Cockbrook Lane, Old Weston as lies between B662 & Brington & Molesworth Footpath 24. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 2/9 & 4/9/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Perry Road B661, Buckden Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21311

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Perry Road B661, Buckden as lies between Highfield Farm & Anglian Water Pumping Station. The alternative route for vehicles is via B661; A1; B645; B661 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water mains renewal & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 19/10/26 & 25/3/27, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Footpaths Morland Way, St Ives Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2026-21275

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpaths Morland Way, St Ives as lies between Morland Way & Footpath between Erica Road & Norfolk Road. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs 6/11/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Whitecross, St Ives Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21273

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Whitecross, St Ives as lies between No. 5 & Westwood Road. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate access to underground structure & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 19/10 & 20/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Various Roads, West Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21448

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate crack sealing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. The proposed Order will come into operation on 19/10/26 & will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
