What is happening?

VARIOUS ROADS IN THE COUNTY OF STAFFORDSHIRE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council will make an Order on the 15/9/26 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in those roads in the Borough of Stafford that comprise the route of the Stafford 10K as summarised below. Any vehicle being used in connection with the event; or being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purpose will be exempt from the restrictions contained in the Order.
The restrictions are necessary to maintain the safety of all participants and road users. No alternative routes are advised for affected traffic as the restrictions will only be effective for so long as is necessary for the participants to pass.
The Order will not at any time prevent access of pedestrians to properties situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates or to any properties only accessible to pedestrians from such a road.

A5187 Tenterbanks, Castle Hill, A5288 Doxey Road, A5288 Unicorn Way, Rose Hill, Redgrave Drive, A5288 Kingsway, A518 Newport Road, A518 Castle Bank, Sundown Drive, Somerset Road, Barnes Road, West Way, Highfield Grove, A449 Rising Brook, A449 Rowley Bank, A449 Park Crescent, A449 Wolverhampton Road, A34 Queensway. A34 Lichfield Road, Bridge Street, Greengate Street, Market Square, Craberry Street, Princes Street, Hunters Row, Greengate Street, Gaolgate Street, Salter Street, Eastgate Street, Martin Street, St Chads Place, Tipping Street, Eastgate Street, Cope Street, B5066 South Walls, B5066 Mill Bank.
IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE ROADS WILL BE CLOSED FROM 06:00HOURS. THE ROAD WILL RE-OPEN ONCE THE EVENT HAS CONCLUDED WHICH IS ANTICIPATED TO BE BY 12:00HOURS.
The Order will come into operation on the 20/9/26 and will remain in force until the event has concluded. The event is being organised by Freedom Leisure, Stafford Leisure Centre, Lammascote Road, Stafford.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 15/9/26 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
Slab Ln, Little Onn Gorse. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151480863. The Order will come into operation on 23/09/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 23/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 25/9/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the new water connection works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 21/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 23/9/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the cabling works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the BT pole replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the interim to permanent works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to reduce the speed limit to 10MPH along:
Newcastle Rd, Cotes Heath and Mill Meece. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB152312250. The Order will come into operation on 5/10/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 23/10/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the drainage investigation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
