NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intends to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) proposes to make an Order to prohibit waiting at any time on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

The effect of the proposed Order would be to improve road safety, reduce inappropriate and obstructive parking, and facilitate the safe and expeditious movement of traffic.

A COPY of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the exact lengths of roads to which it relates and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may also be inspected on the Council’s website at www.westnorthants.gov.uk (search traffic regulation orders) and may also inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX at a time and date specified by appointment only by calling 01604 529700. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Milton Road, Gayton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Milton Road, Gayton from the junction of Wrights Lane to RL6.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during new water connection works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 21st September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Obelisk Rise, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Obelisk Rise, Northampton – entire length.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 21st September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Caswell Road, Northampton from Gowerton Road roundabout to Salthouse Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during10 flat top speed humps, kinks and traffic islands to be removed from the carriageway. Double height concrete kerb to be installed. Footway widening and parallel pedestrian cycle crossing to be installed east of the junction with Sketty Close.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 21st September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary one way (westbound permitted only) along that length of Edgar Mobbs Way, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Edgar Mobbs Way, Northampton from entrance to Claret Car Park to Walter Tull Way.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during egress of supporters from Saints/Lightning home games.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 18th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repairs to a manhole.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Oxford Road, Brackley and Evenley from Lauda Drive to A43 roundabout.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during drainage works and carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 23rd September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during telecom works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 28th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during a gas main replacement scheme.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 28th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 13th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)  ORDER  2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Pitsford Road, Chapel Brampton and Brampton Lane, Pitsford as set out below.

LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Pitsford Road, Chapel Brampton and Brampton Lane, Pitsford from Brampton Fisheries for 150 metres westbound.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during embankment, bridge and carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 14th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Harborough Road, Brampton Lane and Welford Road.

(ST MARY’S STREET, NORTHAMPTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)  ORDER  2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of St Mary’s Street, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of St Mary’s Street, Northampton from Doddridge Street to Chalk Lane.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Castle Terrace, Castle Street, Phoenix Street and Doddridge Street.

(CHAUCER STREET, NORTHAMPTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)  ORDER  2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Chaucer Street, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Chaucer Street, Northampton from the junction of Junction Road to A5123.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during drainage works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 14th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 12 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Junction Road, Kingsley Road and A5123.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY KF19 – COGENHOE & WHISTON CP)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians from proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway KF19 in Cogenhoe and Whiston CP as specified below. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said length of bridleway is unaffected.

RIGHT OF WAY TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: The full length of bridleway KF19 between its junction with public footpaths KF4 and TC17 and public bridleway KF20 (Grid Reference SP 8467 6174) northwards to the county boundary (Grid Reference SP 8466 6188). The route to be closed is shown by a solid black line between points A – B.

REASONS FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required in the interest of the safety to allow works to be completed.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The Order will come into effect on 15th September 2026 and will continue in force for up to 6 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for this Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such extent as is indicated by the display of notices.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: There is no suitable alternative route.
