NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH CL16/1, POLESTAR ROUNDABOUT, PAULTON)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026 
On 10 September 2026 the Bath and North East Somerset Council confirmed above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert that section of the public footpath running from ST64455687 and proceeding in a generally E direction for approx 30m to ST64475688, to a line running from ST64485687 and proceeding a generally N direction for approx 2m to ST64485687 and then in a generally NW direction for approx 7m to ST64475687 and then in a generally N direction for approx 3m to ST64475688, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen at https://www.bathnes.gov.uk/public-rights-way-applications-consultations-and- legal-notices or free of charge at Midsomer Norton Library and Information Service, The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton, BA3 2DP during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought from the Council at the price of £5.00 – to purchase please telephone the Public Rights of Way Team on 01225 477649.
The order came into force on 10 September 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.
