The Cornwall Council (Public Footpath No. 2 (Part) Mawgan-in-Pydar) (Old Coastguard Cottages) Public Path Diversion Order 2026
The above order made by Cornwall Council on 6th August 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will, if confirmed, divert a length of Public Footpath Number 2 in the Parish of Mawgan-in-Pydar commencing at its junction with a part of Footpath 2 Mawgan-in-Pydar to be retained 195 metres north-west of'3 Old Coastguard Cottages' at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 84636/67334 then continuing in an easterly then south-south-easterly direction for 266 metres terminating short of its junction with Classified Road (B3276) 50 metres east-south-east of'3 Old Coastguard Cottages' at OSGR SW 84850/67216 to a revised line commencing at its junction with a length of Public Footpath in the Parish of Mawgan-in-Pydar commencing at its junction with a part of Footpath 2 Mawgan-in-Pydar to be retained 195 metres north-west of'3 Old Coastguard Cottages' at OSGR SW 84636/67334 then continuing in an easterly then south-south-easterly direction for 316 metres terminating at its junction with Classified Road (B3276) 107 meters south-south-east of'3 Old Coastguard Cottages' at OSGR SW 84896/67174.
A copy of the order and order map may be downloaded from Cornwall Council's website at https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment/countryside/public-path-orders/made-public-path-orders/ and have also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Newquay Library and Information Service, Marcus Hill, Newquay, TR7 1 BD open at 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
Alternatively copies of the order and order map may be obtained free of charge from proworders@cornwall.gov.uk. Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Officer at Public Rights of Way, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, TR1 3AY or by email to proworders@cornwall.gov.uk. (quoting reference HAD 320) no later than 14 October 2026.
Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, then Cornwall Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.
If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
