What is happening?

 THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

PART OF BOTH WESTFIELD LANE AND CHURCH LANE, HOOK

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of both Westfield Lane and Church Lane, Hook from a property called The Acres and Church Lane westbound for a distance of approximately 1200 metres onto Westfield Lane commencing 12 October 2026 until 16 October 2026 between 09.30 hours and 15.30 hours on weekdays for the purposes of cabling works on behalf of Openreach. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner

consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Westfield Lane, Hook

Lane, A614 Boothferry Road Roundabout, A614 Boothferry Road, A614 Airmyn Road, Mariners

Street, Coronation Street, Stanhope Street, Clock Tower Roundabout, North Street, Hook Road,

Goole Road, High Street and Church Lane, Airmyn CP, Hook CP, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Snaith,

Airmyn, Rawcliffe and Marshland Ward, Goole North Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents,

emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
