Date of Order: 14 September 2026

Coming into force: 21 September 2026

This Order is being introduced because of highway improvements to surfacing, drainage and associated work which is anticipated to take until 8 October 2026 to be completed. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of the B4445 from Chinnor Road junction to the entrance to Waterlands Farm Bungalow. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles, the Works and for access to property. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Thame Road, Station Road, Oakley Road, Chinnor Road, A40 London Road, B4012, Thame Park Road, Wenman Road, Howland Road, Tewersley Road and Chinnor Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

This Order is being introduced because of essential gas main maintenance work which is anticipated to take 4 weeks to be completed. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of footpath between Elizabeth Avenue and the footpath between Charney Avenue & Wick Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. The alternative route will signed locally. Came into force: 6 March 2026

This Order was introduced because of Construction of the Didcot to Culham Thames River crossing and associated drainage, earthworks and highway work which is anticipated to be completed November 2027. These are 24 hour closures. The effect of the Order is as follows:

1). to close that part of Footpath No.183/11/80 from south of Zouch Farm – between east Culham and the railway line.

2). to close that part Appleford Bridleway No.106/3/10 between Collett Roundabout and Appleford Sidings/level crossing.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to property up to the point of closure.

There is no nearby alternative route available. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. This order with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 30. November 2027 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
