Grange Road, Duxford
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21413

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Grange Road, Duxford as lies between No.28 & Barkers Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Grange Rd; Chrishall Grange Rd, Thriplow; A505; Hunts Rd, Duxford; Grange Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate bridge joint renewals, resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. 

It is anticipated that these works will take place between 19/10 & 24/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Trinity Lane, Cambridge
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21418

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Trinity Lane, Cambridge as lies between Master Lodge & Trinity Street. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate scaffolding removal & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 5/10 & 9/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works. 

Milton Road A1309, Cambridge
Temporary Suspension Of Bus Lane – Order 2026-21374

Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between Middleton Close & Downhams Lane. During the period this Order remains in force the CCC (Various Streets, Cambridge), (Bus Lanes) Order 2024; Roads & parts or roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle, electric scooter, bus, hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days Milton Road on the south-east side from a point 45 metres north-east of its junction with Union Lane to a point 20 metres south-west of its junction with Fraser Road is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs 19/10 to 20/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Newmarket Road A1303, Cambridge
Temporary Suspension Of Bus Lane – Order 2026-21269

Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between B1047 & Meadowlands Road. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Various Streets, Cambridge), (Bus Lanes) Order 2024; Roads & parts of roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle, electric scooter, bus, hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days, Newmarket Road on the south side from its junction with Ditton Lane to a point 75 metres west of its junction with Meadowlands Road is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 10/10 & 18/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Elizabeth Way A1134, Cambridge
Temporary Suspension Of Bus Lane – Order 2026-21282

Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between Newmarket Road & Sandy Lane. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Various Streets, Cambridge), (Bus Lanes) Order 2024; Roads & parts of roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle, electric scooter, bus, hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days, Elizabeth Way on the west side from a point 145 metres north of its junction with Newmarket Road to its junction with Cutter Ferry Close is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. 

It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs 29/9 to 1/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Newmarket Road C291, Cambridge
Temporary Suspension Of Cycle Lane – Order 2026-21373

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between James Street & Christchurch Street. During the period this Order remains in force the Order Title: The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 102) Order 2001. 

Relevant wording: Schedule 23 Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane. Newmarket Road on the north side from its junction with Parsonage Street to a point 46 metres west of the centreline of Auckland Road is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunication blockage removal & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 14/10 & 16/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Newmarket Rd C291, Cambridge are in progress. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Haverhill Road, Shudy Camps
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21385

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Haverhill Road, Shudy Camps as lies between Nosterfield End & Castle Camps Footpath 15, Castle Camps. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Nosterfield End; Blacksmiths Ln; Church Rd; Bartlow Rd; High St, Castle Camps; Haverhill Rd; Haverhill Rd, Shudy Camps & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:00hrs & 17:00hrs 5/10 & 6/10/25, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Doggett Road, Cambridge
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21513

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Doggett Road, Cambridge as lies between Harcombe Road and Rickard. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate underground cabling maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. 

It is anticipated that these works will take place between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 28/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works and any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Church Street & The Lanes, Great Wilbraham
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21685

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street & The Lanes, Great Wilbraham as lies between No. 42 The Lanes & High Street. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Great Wilbraham Rd, Little Wilbraham; Rectory Farm Rd; Six Mile Bottom Rd; Wilbraham Rd; A1304; A11; Mill Rd; Great Wilbraham; High St & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate Installation of raised zebra crossing, drainage & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 26/10 & 9/11/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. 

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
