NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway, footway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 26/10 & 16/11/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

It is anticipated that these works will take place between 5/10 & 9/10/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation.

Temporary Suspension Of Cycle Lane – Order 2026-21414

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between Long Road & Luard Avenue. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area G (Consolidation) Order 1993. Schedule 23 – Cycle Lanes Part 2 – Mandatory with flow cycle lane Hills Road – On its west side from its junction with Long Road to a point 38 metres north of its junction with Purbeck Road is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. 

It is anticipated that these works will take place between 5/10 & 4/12/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road, Cambridge are in progress. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-21415

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Glebe Road, Cambridge as lies between A1307 & Templemore Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Glebe Rd; A1134; Holbrook Rd; A1307 & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main upgrade & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway. It is anticipated that these works will take place between 26/10 & 14/11/26, when the restriction is expected to be in operation. 

The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works & any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.

Temporary Revocation Of One-Way Traffic Order – Order 2026-21508

Is to suspend the one way Traffic Order along Coronation Street, Cambridge as lies between George IV Street & Panton Street. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993: Coronation Street (from its junction with Hills Road to its junction with Panton Street) From east to west. The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 162) Order 2018: The Order of 1993 shall be amended & have effect as though the following words were added: Nothing in Article 39 of this Order shall render it unlawful to cause or permit any pedal cycle in a one way street in the opposite direction to that specified in Schedule 6 Part 2 to this Order: Roads & parts of roads in which pedal cycles are permitted to travel in the opposite direction of the one way street, Coronation Street. From west to east.
