TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS

(EASTINGTON PARISH AND STONEHOUSE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.

There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 11th September 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required.

It is anticipated all works will be completed by 23rd September 2026. However if the works are not completed by this date, the Order can remain in force for up to 18 months.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401448 LOWER LITTLEWORTH TO ST CHLOE MEAD, AMBERLEY

(MINCHINHAMPTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401448 Lower Littleworth to St Chloe Mead, Amberley, from outside the property known as ‘Ash House’ to outside the property known as ‘Mill End Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 20 metres. The reason for the closure is for works involving repointing and rendering of outside cottage wall.

The said road is expected to be closed from 22nd September 2026 until 6th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 407568 JOHN STREET

(STROUD TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 407568 John Street, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Union Street for a distance of approximately 90 metres. The reason for the closure is for new electrical connection works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 5th October 2026 until 7th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

OAKRIDGE (BISLEY WITH LYPIATT PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 401301 The Birches to Methodist Church Oakridge, from outside of the property known as ‘Grey Cote’ to outside the property known as ‘Cotswold Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 45 metres. The reason for the closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 6th October 2026 until 16:00hrs on 8th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 7th October 2026 until 16:00hrs on 9th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intends to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 402456 Lightwood Lane at a point between the properties known as ‘Lightwood House’ and ‘Inglewood’ for a distance of approximately 198 metres.

The reason for the closure is for gas pipe installation works.

The road is expected to be closed from 5th October 2026 until 30th October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intends to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C200 Cheltenham Road from outside of the property known as ‘Fir Tree Cottage’ to outside of the property known as ‘Ballagh’ for a distance of approximately 20 metres.

The reason for the closure is for manhole works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The road is expected to be closed on 4th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C224 Castle Lane, from its junction with the A38 to its junction with the Swing Bridge for a distance of approximately 1120 metres.

The reason for the closure is for ditch works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 1st October 2026 until 2nd October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
