TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a closure to the section of Public Footpath BA22/1 commencing from a junction with Public Footpath AQ89 at ST74066180 and proceeding in a generally E direction for approx 112m to ST74176182.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way: namely the applicant will be carrying out works to improve the surface of the public footpath and to stop erosion of the Wansdyke Scheduled Monument. The Order will come into force on 9 October 2026 and will be effective for eight weeks.
