Combe St. Nicholas - Temporary Road Closure due to Phased Patching Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Combe St. Nicholas Temporary Closure of Cuttifords Door
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Cuttifords Door (05/10/2026 - 06/10/2026) - from the junction with Catchgate Lane to the junction with Crimchard; and Cuttifords Door (12/10/2026 - 16/10/2026) - from the junction with Crimchard, north- eastwards for a distance of 528 metres. A total distance of 868 metres.
This Order will enable Kier to carry out phased patching works on behalf of Somerset Council.
The Order becomes effective on 30th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 12th October 2026 and last until 16th October 2026 between the hours of 07:00 - 17:00 for a total of 5 days.
