Somerset Council Parish of Martock Temporary Closure of East Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: East Street - from the junction with Bearley Road to the junction with Eastfield. A total distance of 124 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to replace a cover and frame, and carry out chamber inspections.

The Order becomes effective on 30th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 5th October 2026 and last until 7th October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 22:00 for a total of 3 days. There is no alternative route for this closure.
