Tamworth Road - Temporary Road Closure To New Drainage Connections And Footway Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE MARKET PLACE, TAMWORTH ROAD, LONG EATON
WHEN: 04 October to 14 October 2026 (19:00 to 05:00 each night).
WHERE: Market Place, Tamworth Road, Long Eaton between the Derby Road / Nottingham Road Jct. and the Jct. of Broad Street and Salisbury Street.
REASON: To facilitate new drainage connections and footway works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Nottingham Road, Waverley Street, Cross Street, Main Street, Fields Farm Road, Tamworth Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
