What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Martock Temporary Closure of Hurst
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Hurst - from 109 metres south of the junction with Pitway Hill, southwards for a total distance of 222 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Water to install a new connection.
The Order becomes effective on 30th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 5th October 2026 and last until 9th October 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
