What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 07/09/26, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Public Car Parks at Hill Street/High Street, Arbroath and Myre, Forfar)(Suspension of Use) Order 2026, under Section 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that car park resurfacing works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 14/09/26 from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of five weeks. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the use of the car parks. Alternative arrangements for parking are available at Ladybridge Street/Marketgate Car Park, Arbroath and East Greens Car Park, Forfar.
