What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Whitestaunton Temporary Closure of Howley Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Howley Road - from the junction with Southay Lane, eastwards for a total distance of 510 metres. This Order will enable Circet UK to replace a pole on behalf of Openreach.
The Order becomes effective on 16th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 5th October 2026 and last until 6th October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 2 days.
