What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984.
The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

WORDSWORTH ROAD, LOUGHBOROUGH
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake gulley repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Tennyson Rd, Browning Rd, Wordsworth Rd & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 15/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months.

The works may last for up to 3 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching.

The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 15/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months.
The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake drainage investigation works.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 23/10/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months.
The works may last for up to 1 day to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching.
The proposed diversion route will be via: from Minor Rd from A512 Ashby Rd West to Swannymote Rd, Ashby Rd West & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 21/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 5 days to allow MJ Quinn on behalf of BT Openreach to undertake duct laying works.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Rempstone Rd B5324, Belton; Ashby Rd B5324, Long Whatton & Hathern; Whatton Rd, Derby Rd A6, Shepshed Rd, Hathern; Hathern Rd, Brook St, Market Pl, Belton St, Hallamford Rd, Shepshed & vice versa.

Hallamford Rd, Shepshed from where the USRN changes to Hallamford Rd, Long Whatton & Diseworth for 200m South.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
The Order will come into force on 21/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 4 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake infrastructure repairs & maintenance.

DERBY ROAD, LOUGHBOROUGH
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
The Order will come into force on 22/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake replacement of a defective manhole frame & cover. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

FOOTPATH K93, HATHERN & LOUGHBOROUGH
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY ORDER 2026
The Order will come into force on 25/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 141 days. The works may last for up to 141 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake investigation & assessment of a damaged footbridge. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.
