ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, intends to make the above Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The Order will come into operation on 12th October 2026 for a period of 6 months or when the proposed work finishes, whichever is the earlier. Anticipated dates of closures 12th October 2026 to 14th October 2026. Specific dates and times will be signed locally. The Order will therefore be in operation during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, barriers or cones.
The effect of the Order will allow the Council to close to pedestrians Preston Path from a point outside of No.41 Talbot Road towards junction of Talbot Road. No diversion route available.
The Order is intended to create a window for the works to be done and it is anticipated that the works will be completed over a period within the date described as above. The purpose of the Order is to enable Affinity Water to carry out essential maintenance and repairs works. Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely whilst such works are being carried out and diversions for pedestrians will be marked by signs.
