Temporary Orders Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 16th March 2026 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Church Lane, Mevagissey between the junctions with Vicarage Hill and Prospect Place. The Order which commenced on the 17th March 2026 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until the 30th October 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public during stabilisation works on private property due to landslide. Nothing in this Order will apply to cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 14th September 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Tintagel. This prohibition is necessary for repairs to defective manhole cover and it is expected that the closure will be from 1st October 2026 to 2nd October 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Boscastle. This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 14th October 2026 to 15th October 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0800 and 1800, weekdays only.

Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 9th September 2026 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Enniscaven Road, Roche between Retillick Moor and Cleers Hill.

The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed due to collapsed cattle grid. The Order will come into operation on 10th September 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 18th December 2026.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 20th August 2026 fora period of 21 days.

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Boscastle. This prohibition is necessary for pole replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 14th October 2026 to 15th October 2026. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800, weekdays only.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in St Columb. This prohibition is necessary for patching works and it is expected that the closure will be from 12th October 2026 to 23rd October 2026.

Roads subject to prohibition - B3274 Between Kernick Road Junction And Beacon Road, Belowda, St Austell, B3273 From Junction West Of Pengelly Farm To Junction With Kernick Road, St Columb for their entire lengths.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily impose a stopping prohibition the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to stop as specified on the undermentioned lengths of road in St Columb. Where any vehicle is found to be in contravention of the Order it may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and may be removed from site.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 14th September 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Lostwithiel. This prohibition is necessary for cabling works for a new customer connection and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th September 2026, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.
